3. Merchant Accounts and MIDs

Stripe can initially be used for straight-sale transactions. By the time customers begin rebilling, the MIDs can be connected to the CRM.

These providers process HR payments, and applications can be submitted with an IBO.

Recommended MIDs

  • EMS

  • KURV

  • PayArc

  • MiCamp

Optional MIDs

  • Maverick

  • Nexio

  • Netevia

MIDs should reportedly provide processing capacity equal to approximately three times the business’s bank balance.

Documents Needed

  • Customer-service agreement

  • Fulfillment agreement

  • Personal bank statement

  • Business bank statement

  • CRM agreement

The MID connects to the CRM. The CRM provides a checkout that connects to Shopify.

ISO Providers

ISOs connect the business with MIDs.

  • Sound Commerce

  • Total-Apps

  • SeamlessChex

  • Phoenix

Compliance Question

Should the VIP offer be disclosed accurately to the ISO?

ISO-facing website clearly displays a VIP offer while the actual website uses a BH offer.

  • Each order uses a unique virtual card.

  • The orders are for a real, low-ticket product.

9. Risks

MID Shutdown

  • The banking or compliance website needs legitimate traffic.

  • Don't host Mid Site on the same domain as the main website.

  • Prices on the banking website need to match the prices on the main website.

Bank Verification Calls

  • Banks may contact customers.

  • Banks may also call the company’s customer-service number.

  • Customer service must answer these calls professionally.

Use AI mentioned prior to answer Bank Call.

Chargebacks

  • High chargeback levels can create expensive fees.

  • Chargeback-alert fees should be negotiated.

VAMP Ratio

  • An excessively high VAMP ratio can cause the MID to be shut down.

10. Approval Mindset

Slash Approval Requirements

Slash reportedly expects a fully compliant, white-hat website containing:

  • LLC details in the footer

  • Contact information

  • EIN

  • LLC registration numbers

  • Clear and credible reasons for approval

Website Standards

  • The banking website should look professional and compliant.

  • All written and verbal communication should be professional.

  • Business email addresses should use the company’s domain.

  • Use name@domain.com rather than a Gmail address.
